Office of Disability Services Seeks Tutors
The Office of Disability Services is seeking energetic and motivated tutors to work within the newly created Mountaineer Academic Program (MAP). MAP works with students with disabilities in order to assist with academic success. Individuals working as tutors in this program will work on a one-on-one basis with students in individual content areas. Tutors will also be charged with assisting students in gaining basic study skills and time management.
Applicants for this position must be a full time undergraduate or graduate student at West Virginia University, have earned 29 or more credit hours, have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.2, and have strong written and oral English communication skills. A successful applicant will also have successfully completed course work through basic Algebra, Biology and/or Chemistry, and English. Applicants for this position should also have completed course work in other liberal arts areas such as Communication Studies, History, and Psychology.
