CCE President's Volunteer Service Awards
The WVU Center for Civic Engagement is now accepting nominations for the President’s Volunteer Service Awards. The only eligibility requirement is that the nominee have completed 100 service hours this year. Please read on to see if you qualify. . .
The Center for Civic Engagement and the United Way are now accepting nominations
for the President’s Volunteer Service Awards. The awards are presented to individuals
who have completed at least 100 hours of community service between January and December
2008. The hours can be from community service or service learning courses.
The service hours are the only requirement that has to be met to receive the award.
There are three levels:
Bronze‑ 100 to 174 hours
Silver‑ 175‑ 249 hours
Gold‑ 250 or more hours
The awards will be presented at a ceremony on February 19, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. in the Mountainlair Ballrooms. All honorees receive a pin and certificate signed by the President of the United States.
Nominations can come from faculty, staff, fellow students or you can self‑ nominate.
