Brown Bag Lunch discussion series

For any Honors students interested in multi-culturalism, the WVU Office of Student Life-Multicultural Programs is hosting a Brown Bag Lunch film and discussion series. This is a weekly series profiling different cultures. It will be held on the following dates from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM in the Shenandoah Room in the Mountainlair. If you don’t have class, this is a great opportunity to expand your horizons and learn new things!

The topics of the discussions are as follows:

10/04/07 – Native Americans, presented by Bonnie M. Brown, Coordinator,
Native American Studies

10/11/07 – Women’s Rights, presented by Barbara Howe, Director of the
Center for Women’s Studies and Associate Professor of History

10/18/07 – African Americans, presented Todd S. McFadden, Associate
Director, Center for Black Culture

10/25/07 – Hispanic Americans, presented by Mary Ann Meza, President,
Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Society, Inc., Delta Lambda Chapter

11/01/07 – Immigration in the United States, presented by Susan C. Pearce,
visiting Assistant Professor of Sociology, Division of Sociology and
Anthropology

11/08/07 – Appalachia, presented by Jo Brown, Associate University Librarian,
WVU Main Library

11/15/07 – Mali, presented by Yacouba Berthe, visiting scholar from Mali, CIP
Program in the Office of International Programs
