A Call for Volunteers
The Honors Office has recently received a request for volunteers at a very worthy Christmas function. Dr. Nina Spadaro will be coordinating . . . read on . . .
I know it is short notice and I apologize. I have been in touch with
APO and was hoping for many volunteers for this community service
opportunity and they may only have three or five people coming to
help. Their volunteers in the past have been wonderfully diligent but
I could use twenty! This Friday, December 7th, from 5-9pm, the
Veterans Center (for which I am the Clinical Consultant) will be
hosting a Christmas Dinner at the Army Reserve Center in Kingwood WV
for the veterans of many engagements, and their families. It is an
opportunity to serve those who have been willing to sacrifice (and
have sacrificed) much for our country. Volunteers are needed to serve
and clean up after dinner. They are welcome to wear any clothing that
may identify their organization (or not). It is hard work - carrying
trays and bussing tables and if there is food left over volunteers
will get fed too!
If you have some others who could come I would appreciate it and
appreciate it if you could let me know.
Thanks for any assistance you might offer! (directions below)
Sincerely,
Nina Spadaro

about one mile and look for the Army Reserve Center - first building
