REMINDER: We will be meeting this Wednesday (October 17th) at 6:30PM in the Private Meeting Room in Stalnaker.

We will be discussing the ongoing revisions of the Honors Student Handbook, as well as the creation of new Honors Committees Bylaws. Zach has informed me that he wants to discuss possible service activities for November as well as review how the September activity worked out. Also, he is going to start looking for ideas and suggestions for the Honors Ball, so if you are interested in being a part of an Honors Ball Committee please attend this meeting.

On another note, we have had very low turn out for Honors Committee meetings, and we are hoping to get more people involved. We know that Honors Students complain that we don’t offer anyway to get involved, however we have lots of things planned for the year, and we can’t get them done if no one attends. Also, some have complained about the blog style, however, they also complain about emails crowding their inboxes. We are trying our best to make information easily accessible to everyone that may need it. We don’t have the resources to individually email or call students, so please bear with us and check the blog for any info you may need. The Honors Ambassadors are trying very hard to get many things accomplished, however they cannot do this without your help. Since we have had such low turnout, and election season for next years Ambassadors is fast approaching, the Honors College has decided that to be eligible to run for these positions, you must have attended at least three committee meetings (Student Advisory or Student Association, or both) to be eligible to run.

The Honors College is FOR Honors students, but we need your input! If you would like to attend Honors Student Association meetings, but the times and dates don’t work for your schedule, let us know and we will work very hard to keep you updated and involved.
